Description: Create magic with your students no matter their skill level! Each class pack features a fascinating artist to learn about, all the supplies you’ll need for the successful completion of the activity, a reproducible teacher guide and an extended learning opportunity.

This inclusive art project is designed for all young students including kids and teens with mild, moderate or severe intellectual impairments and provides an engaging, multi-sensory artistic experience using solid and liquid tempera paint.

Students will use different types of materials like self-adhesive glitter paper, hard tempera cakes and liquid gouache combined with easy art techniques to create a sparkling composition of a spooky Halloween landscape inspired by the whimsical style of Tim Burton. Showing the easy-to-follow step-by-step process filled with images and pictograms on your smart TV, will help guide your students into creating their own masterpiece.

Teaching Objectives

• Students will explore inspiration pieces to create a mixed media composition of a haunted house with gnarled trees using liquid and solid tempera paint.
• Students will spatially organize elements (haunted house, trees, moon) to produce their art.
• Students will strengthen their fine motor skills as they manipulate various tools and materials.

Additional information:

Basic materials such as pencils, coloring pencils, markers, scissors, liquid glue, and glue sticks must be provided by students. The materials provided are for the main art project only.

Art supplies you will receive: Multi-media paper, black liquid tempera paint, solid tempera paint (purple, indigo, yellow, orange) Art Pro paintbrushes size 8.
